How can i show .pdf in a web browser that is in the container field.

Hi there,
i am new to FMP. i am developing a web application,i have a container field that contains a pdf file when i use getField function it give me something like that
/fmi/xml/cnt/data.cnt?-db=LaySystem&-lay=Owners&-recid=1123&-field=Owner_Notes%3A%3ADoc(1).137

i know how to show images from a container
but unable to show pdf files from container to the web browser like firefox or safari

How can I compare current daily record field to previous record field

I am using FM 10 adv and completely new to databases. I have a database of financial markets with one table containing Market ID, name & symbols and second table containing daily market data, open, high, low, close & volume along with other calculating fields for use in trend report.

In a data field I am trying to compare various daily data of the current market with the previous day to return certain results eg for each market If the high of the current day > than high of previous day & low of current day is higher than low of previous day = high day, else if high of the current day < than high of previous day & low of current day is < than low of previous day = lower day else if high is lower than prev high & low is higher than prev high = insde day. Regardless of the sort it needs to always compare to the previous day record for that market.

I tried various ways but cant seem to find away to achieve this. Is it possible, any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated. If I can solve this I should be able to solve a number of other trending ideas.
