FileMaker 16: An Introduction to Card Windows

The new Card Window feature in FileMaker 16 allows you to create overlays within the same window. The card can have its own context different from the background layout. This is going to be a game-changer in how FileMaker solutions are designed and architected.

When I create a new record using a script that opens a Card Window over the current layout, enter the info similar to the example above, plus the current date, then close the Card Window, the new record isn't sorted with the rest of the records in a List View (original Layout). The original background Layout has the records sorted by Current Month whenever it's opened. I've tried adding some additional Script steps, & button Triggers (such as when clicking on the "Done" button in the example above), but it still doesn't work. Only "manually" running the Date Sort script on that layout again causes the New Record to show up. Any suggestions?

    Good clear explanation.
