Getting Started with APIs for FileMaker Developers

Working with APIs (Application Programming Interface) within the Claris FileMaker platform can be very challenging if you’ve never done it before. There is so much to learn on how to format your requests from FileMaker to send the messages in a format that the API can understand. Then on top of that, the format of the actual data is in JSON which for most people is a new learning curve by itself. No two APIs are the same but if you build a fundamental baseline of knowledge for yourself, you can navigate around the differences. We created our fundamentals course specifically for this purpose.
