I am often asked how much FileMaker cost. Well, if all you need is a single copy just for yourself on your Mac or Windows computer, the cost of FileMaker is going to be somewhere between three hundred and five hundred dollars. Now, if you need FileMaker for a team of people, then the cost starts to go down on a per user basis. Now FileMaker has changed how they sell software. They really don’t sell individual pieces. They don’t sell five copies of pro and two servers and then three copies of pro advance and then Go or something like that. They don’t do that anymore. What they do is they simply take the number of users who are going to use a software. You add that up, you’re going to give that number to FileMaker and pay for, say, five users. And then those five users can use all the products. This is called user licensing.
