Lesson #14: Data Structure & Schema – Lookup fields – Scriptology Mastery Course FileMaker

FileMaker Pro’s Lookup feature is something which comes from an era gone by. It was introduced WAAAY back when FileMaker was a flat file database. It was the method used get data from one file (which was one table) into another file. While the features found in Auto-enter fields are more than capable of handling most any data processing you might wish, it’s good to know what a Lookup field can be used for and when you might want to use it.
