On-Site Triathlon Athlete Registration System
Shin Ninagawa (Splash, Inc.)
Triathlons test their competitors’ limits, but that makes the competition all the more exciting for the audience. As you probably know, these events include three continuous, sequential events: swimming, cycling, and running. The regulations are strict in order to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Thus, the athletes must register for and attend two separate preparatory sessions followed by the final registration. The Miyazaki SeaGaia Triathlon involves more than 500 volunteer supporters. The volunteers need a simple and easy-to-use system for registration. Because the target users are high school students, whose first experience with the application would be on the day of the event, the UI must be intuitive and require no training. FileMaker Go and the iPhone are the perfect tools to make this happen. Learn how we made registration easy with QR codes, how we created an intuitive user interface, and how we used MDM for a simple deployment.
